Cone 013 = 1582°F (861°C)

When we’re working with pottery, we often use something called cone ratings to help us know how hot to fire our clay. Each number is connected to a specific temperature. For example, Cone 013 means that the temperature needs to reach 1582°F (which is the same as 861°C).

Think of cones like tiny superheroes that tell potters the perfect degree of heat to make their clay strong and beautiful. Every cone melting or bending at certain temperatures helps potters achieve different effects in their creations.

Here are seven objects that are exactly equal to the measurements provided in the context of Cone 013:

  1. A ceramic tile fired at Cone 013.
  2. A porcelain mug shaped and glazed using Cone 013.
  3. A stoneware plate that has been heated to Cone 013.
  4. A flower pot sculpted and fired to Cone 013.
  5. A figurine made from clay that requires Cone 013 to hold its shape.
  6. A set of bowls designed specifically for Cone 013 temperatures.
  7. A sculptural piece in a pottery class that was completed using Cone 013.

By understanding these temperature ratings, potters can create amazing pieces of art that are also strong and durable!
